3200 Sixth Avenue is a mid-century condominium located in San Diego across from beautiful Balboa Park. Built in 1958 for Colonel Irving Salomon a former delegate to the United Nations.

Colonel and Mrs. Salomon set out to commission San Diego's premier luxury apartment building. With their well-traveled backgrounds, the Salomon’s envisioned creating a cosmopolitan residence that would rival the apartments of Manhattan and satisfy their worldly aesthetic.

Under the direction of renowned San Diego modernist architect Henry Hester, the distinctly modern building with 30 spacious units plus a spectacular penthouse, was completed directly across from Balboa Park. The units were innovatively designed with open spaces throughout. The building's airy and free-flowing atmosphere was amplified with floor-to-ceiling doors and windows, and had exceptional views of either the patio garden and pool or Balboa Park. Upon its debut in 1959, 3200 Sixth Avenue set the standard for modern living in San Diego.  This is still true today!
